The Cessna T-37 Tweet was a primary trainer for the United States Air Force introduced in 1957 and remained in production until 1975 at which time a total of 1,269 Cessna T-37 Tweets had been produced. The USAF began replacing the T-37 in favour of the T-6 Texan II in 2001 although hundreds still remain in active service. It is of note that a light attack variant, the A-37 Dragonfly, was used during the Vietnam War and was found to excel in this role.
