The Caudron G.3 was designed by René and Gaston Caudron as a WW1 reconnaissance aircraft, performance was initially excellent but as aircraft design rapidly advanced under wartime pressure was re-assigned to pilot training duties, well over 2,000 aircraft were built, some under a free licence in the UK and Italy.
