Bücker-Flugzeugbau GmbH was founded in 1932 by Carl Bücker, on the 27th of April 1934 the prototype Bücker Bü 131 Jungmann (Young Man) first flew, it was a trainer aircraft with true aerobatic capability, it was soon chosen as the primary basic trainer for the expanding German Luftwaffe until their gradual replacement, during WW2, with the Bücker Bü 181. Some Bü 131 Jungmann's were used as night bombers on the Russian front carrying small 1Kg or 2Kg bombs.
The Jungmann was produced under licence in Switzerland, Spain, Hungary, Czechoslovakia and Japan, CASA in Spain until the early 1960's. It is of note that the Spanish Air Force operated the CASA E3B version of the Bücker Jungmann until 1968 as a basic trainer.
