Boeing 102 P-12 Fighter Plane

 

After Evaluation by the US Navy and US Army at the Navy Test Centre in 1928 as the Boeing XF4B-1, 27 aircraft were ordered as the Boeing F4B-1, the first production aircraft taking to the air on the 6th of May 1929. After further testing at Anacostia the US Army ordered aircraft under the Boeing 102 P-12 designation, it equipped the majority of US Air Corps squadrons in the early 1930's and became one of the best known American fighter aircraft of the inter-war period. In total 586 Boeing 102 P-12 aircraft were made including all variants.
