The Douglas A-26C/B26C Invader was a WW2 US twin-engined light attack bomber which served with US military forces from 1943 to 1972 with a total production of 2452 aircraft. The most notable action the Douglas Invader was involved with was probably the CIA backed attack by Cuban exiles in April 1961 during the "Bay of Pigs invasion" where the aircraft were tasked with the destruction of Fidel Castro's air force, to increase their element of surprise they were painted with Cuban Air Force markings but never the less failed.
